BIXOLON SRP-350plusV, Cutter, USB, Ethernet, Black

sagerger BIXOLON SRP-350plusV: Receipt Printer with Ethernet and Automatic Cutter

The BIXOLON SRP-350plusV prints direct thermal on paper rolls up to 80 mm wide and automatically cuts each receipt using a built-in cutter. Two interfaces are permanently installed: USB 2.0 and Ethernet. If you need additional interfaces, you may want to consider an EPSON receipt printer with RS232. This allows you to connect it to a single point-of-sale terminal as well as integrate it into a network – without additional hardware. The package includes a power supply, power cable, and a paper roll, so you can get started straight away.

Print Performance and Paper Format of the SRP-350plusV

At 180 dpi, the SRP-350plusV prints barcodes and text on receipts with clear legibility. For logos or graphics with fine details, this resolution may not be sufficient – anyone wanting to print high-quality graphics on receipts should consider a model with 203 dpi or higher. One example would be a Citizen receipt printer with 203 dpi. The maximum print width is 72 mm with 80 mm wide paper. Rolls up to 83 mm in diameter fit inside the housing. The optical sensor detects the paper and the end of the roll.

USB and Ethernet: Which Interface to Use and When

USB 2.0 connects the printer directly to a point-of-sale computer. Ethernet makes it accessible to multiple checkout stations simultaneously, without needing a separate printer at each station. If you require a pure RS232 connection for an older point-of-sale system, there is no serial interface available here – in that case, an EPSON receipt printer with RS232 would be a suitable alternative. The printer language BXL/POS must be supported by your point-of-sale software – check this before purchasing. With 64 MB RAM and 64 MB flash memory, the printer handles even longer receipt templates without delay.

Package Contents and Limitations

The package includes a power supply, power cable, and a starter roll of receipt paper. This is sufficient for an immediate test run. For continuous operation, you will need compatible receipt rolls with a maximum width of 80 mm and a maximum roll diameter of 83 mm. If you need a wireless connection via Wi-Fi, you will need to choose a different model – a wider selection can be found among all available receipt printers in our range. Likewise, a kitchen printer mode or cash drawer control is not available, should that be relevant for your use case.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the BIXOLON SRP-350plusV be used at multiple checkout stations simultaneously?

Yes, via Ethernet the printer can be integrated into a local network and accessed from multiple checkout stations. The prerequisite is that your point-of-sale software supports network printing to shared printers.

Which receipt rolls are compatible with the SRP-350plusV?

You need direct thermal rolls with a maximum width of 80 mm and a maximum outer diameter of 83 mm. Make sure the rolls have no coating – direct thermal paper works without a ribbon.

Does the printer work with common point-of-sale software?

This depends on the printer language: the SRP-350plusV uses BXL/POS. Not every point-of-sale software supports this command set – check with your software provider before purchasing or review the compatibility list.

Is a driver required for the BIXOLON SRP-350plusV?

For the USB connection under Windows, a driver is generally required. BIXOLON provides drivers on the manufacturer's website – search there for the model SRP-350plusV for your operating system.

What sets the SRP-350plusV apart from a model without Ethernet?

A printer without an Ethernet port can only be connected directly via USB to a single device. The SRP-350plusV can be accessed over the network from multiple stations, making it significantly more flexible for businesses with more than one checkout station.
